What the Good People Say

Meeting @shanepetrellis weekly on Zoom to learn locomotion, floorwork, strength, and soft acrobatics, we continued to train up until the week of delivery. My favorite part of training with Shane pregnant was his readiness to acknowledge that he would never experience what I was experiencing while repeatedly checking in and being present to my body constantly changing. He seamlessly adjusted my programming to more Qigong and breathwork towards the final weeks of pregnancy while still incorporating ring work, knowing the importance of a strong upper body for where there would be a baby to carry around. Shane trained my deep squat so well that I was actually able to be in this position all throughout delivery without fatiguing or any leg soreness the days after.

I have been working with Shane for 6 years now and I can truly say he is the best trainer I have worked with. I also bring my kids along for some sessions and Shane is able to program a session with me and my two kids to where we all have fun, and we all gain from the workout. I have worked with other trainers at other gyms throughout my life. I have liked all of them on a personal level and I learned something from each and every one of them. However, Shane is the best because he goes beyond just that single workout session in his coaching. He genuinely cares about his clients and realizes that every client is different, and each client may need something different. Not just in the exercise programming but also in nutritional advice or even life advice. Shane is extremely knowledgeable on a lot of different sports and activities and wise beyond his years when it comes to life advice. I recommend Shane’s services to anyone who is looking to train and actually build a relationship with their trainer.

Shane is the best personal trainer I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. I needed a special type of trainer to get me into shape; I am coming off of a weight loss of 105 pounds and have had multiple knee injuries/surgeries due to sports. Shane listened to my initial concerns and designed a training program to suit my needs. This is a key point as you can basically find a personal trainer anywhere; Shane is a great listener first and foremost, and without this connection I’m not sure we’d still be working together. I consider Shane a friend and someone I can trust.

We have ramped up gradually since the initial days, and overall, I feel great. I have seen an increase in my energy, stamina, and endurance within the past year. I have seen an increase in my core strength and balance/focus. I have muscles now in places I never knew muscles existed. I get sore here and there but have definitely noticed faster muscle recovery time now.

With the addition of some dietary changes, I have also noticed less fatigue, cravings, and improved sleep patterns. I try to meet with Shane at least 3 days per week, and I feel that the exercise regimes are always different and never boring. This is probably the healthiest I have felt in years, and Shane is definitely part of the success equation for me. His persistence keeps me focused and on track, and I felt like he’s adjusted my attitude by making working out fun. I get up early ready for whatever he’s about to put me through that day.

I have recently just renewed with Shane again and consider him to a part of my “better life” team. Please feel free to contact me with any questions whatsoever!
