Hey, I’m Shane and I’m thankful you’ve found my website. If you’re here, maybe you’re looking for a new way to exercise, a coach to connect with, or a new approach to wellness. Whatever the motivation is, here’s a bit about where I’m coming from.
I played division I baseball and studied Biology, Biomechanics & Exercise Physiology. Strength and Conditioning was the center of my practice back then.
After years of weight lifting and athletic conditioning, I found creative movement and dance. Paradigm-shifting workshops with Ido Portal in Barcelona and Tom Weksler in San Francisco opened new doors. I discovered I could integrate various movement disciplines into a fun, expansive practice that worked for me.
Now dancing, stretching, and conditioning in new ways, I realized that, all the while, I was looking for a way to heal. The emotional release I felt with these practices was needed for me to open my heart and connect authentically with people. My relationships with family and friends, and most importantly with my self has improved, thanks to somatic practices.
Curiosity still moves me into an ever expanding field of wellness, now incorporating Qigong, breath work, and lymphatic drainage into my weekly routines. Trying to stay loose and healthy in this complex world, I intend to ground and center every day.
